It’s an understatement to say I’d been waiting my whole career to take a crack at a Star Wars project, since that clock started running probably around elementary school for me.

Introducing a new set of characters and worlds set in the Sequel Trilogy era, this project gave me the opportunity to draw on legacy series styles (recreating the saga’s soft-matted wipe transitions were a particular point of detail-oriented pride for me) while introducing a new, more tension-filled approach befitting the animated series’ spy mystery tone (driven by a Dunkirk-inspired stopwatch motif).

A great reminder of the chance that creative work gives us to reconnect to the earliest roots of our imaginations, and the necessity of jumping at those chances when they arise.
